Privacy
Your privacy and confidentiality is of utmost importance at CIP Counseling, we understand the need for support in a safe and non-judgmental environment. All services are provided under the strict ethical guidelines by the American Psychological Society (APA).
Unless given permission to disclose by the individual, all information collected through forms, emails, and during sessions will be kept confidential to the best of our ability.
For educational and supervision purposes, some session information with no identifying information may be shared with fellow professionals to assist the treatment process.
Exceptions:
In certain exceptional cases, such as suspected possible harm to self and/or others, CIP Counseling may have the ethical duty to disclose specific information to relevant authorities. Any disclosure will be informed to the client before any action will be taken place.
